The problem

Your business should not be running through texts, spreadsheets, missed follow-ups and five different apps.

Leads in one app. Measurements from a vendor. Estimates in a spreadsheet. Contracts in a signing tool. Homeowner conversations on a rep's personal phone. Every handoff leaks time and money, and the owner is the only one who knows where anything stands.

What I build

One system, built around your workflow instead of someone else's template.

Most shops have one leak that costs more than the rest combined. The Teardown finds it, prices it and prototypes the fix.

How we work together

Start small and paid. Build only what earns its keep.

  1. Free

    20-minute Ops Check

A short call or a 3-minute recorded audit of your site and intake. You see one leak. No pitch deck.

  2. Step 1 · Front door

    Ops Teardown $1,950

Five days. I ride along with the owner and office lead, map how a lead becomes a paid job, price every leak in dollars, and build a clickable prototype of the fix on your real workflow. You get a written build plan with a fixed price.

    • Fee credits 100% toward a build signed within 30 days
    • Not worth it to you? You get the fee back
    • You keep the map, leak list and prototype either way
    Book a Teardown
  3. Step 2

    Pilot Build

Your most expensive leak, fixed first. Logins and roles, owner dashboard, jobs pipeline, tasks and files. Live in about four weeks. From $10k.

  4. Step 3

    Full System

Customer portal, payments, SMS and email automation, reports, documents, and training for your team. From $25k.

  5. Step 4

    Operate

Hosting, monitoring, fixes and a steady stream of improvements, month to month. From $1,500/mo.

Roofing and restoration shops with insurance-claim volume go the ImpactIQ route. The Teardown is still the front door. You own what we build, in writing.

One operator · two builds

I build things. Software is one of them.

The software comes out of the construction work. Same standard on both: documented, followed through, and owned by the person who did it.

Why Ward Tech

Built on four non-negotiables.

Anyone can sell you software. What matters is whether it fits how your crews and office actually work, and whether someone answers when it breaks.

Engineered

Mapped before it's built. Every build starts from your real lead-to-paid-job workflow, written down and priced in a fixed plan.

Connected

One record per job. Leads, photos, estimates, signatures and payments live on the same job instead of in five apps.

Reliable

Built for daily use. ImpactIQ runs a roofing team's pipeline every day. Hosting, monitoring and fixes are part of the Operate plan.

Local

Based in Dallas-Fort Worth. I ride along with your office and crews, and the person you call is the person writing the code.

About

I've been on the roof, and I build the software the roofer runs on.

I spent six-plus years in roofing and insurance restoration before I wrote production software: project manager, then director of operations, then owner of my own company, Built By Ward. I ran the leads, inspections, claims, supplements and job stages by hand.

ImpactIQ started as the internal CRM and claims tooling for that company. Today it runs a Dallas-area roofing team's whole storm pipeline. I design it, build it, ship it and support it myself, so the person you talk to is the person writing the code.

Ward Tech Systems is based in Dallas-Fort Worth and works with owner-operated contractors and home-service companies, roughly 5 to 50 people.
